Virat Kohli Scores 2000-Plus Runs in Third Consecutive Calendar Year, Here Are Other Milestones He Achieved During IND vs WI 1st ODI 2018.

India will play 18-odd One-Day Internationals (ODI) before the World Cup in England.

Kohli hit a masterful 140 off 107 deliveries for his 36th hundred in the 50-over format while Rohit remained unbeaten on a 117-ball 152 for his 20th ODI ton.

But after that Rohit and Virat joined hands and hammered the West Indian bowlers all around the stadium. It was the Indian skipper's 36th ODI ton and overall, it was his 60th global century.

Although he was not the captain in 2016 (2,595 runs), it still is a great achievement to have recorded 2,000-plus worldwide runs in three consecutive years.

After their rout in the Test series, West Indies did a good job by putting on board a challenging 322 for eight, capitalising on the absence of India's front line pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. His innings comprised of 21 fours and two sixes.

Hetmyer punished the Indian bowlers with six fours and as many sixes in his entertaining 78-ball knock. In the next over, Samuels was also sent packing by Yuzvendra Chahal. In-form Virat Kohli and men will be eying to continue the winning streak as they defeated the visitors in the 2 Test match series. Hetmyer then arrived in the middle and stitched crucial partnerships with Rovman Powell and Jason Holder (38) before getting out in the 39th over.

Opener Kieran Powell set up the foundation with a 39-ball 51 (6x4, 2x6) in a 67-run stand for the second wicket with Shai Hope (32).

Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal claimed three wickets, returning impressive figures of 3-41 from his 10 overs, to check West Indies' surge.
