Aladdin's First Live-Action Trailer Introduces a Whole New World

One day before the first look footage dropped, Disney released the first poster for the live-action movie. Smith shared the poster, which you can check out in the gallery below, on his Facebook, saying: "LEMME OUT!" Aladdin plans to uses these wishes to win over the lovely Princess Jasmine, but the evil Jafar has other plans. It features the film's iconic lamp and a secret about what awaits inside it, as well as the warning "Choose wisely".

Are you excited for the live-action Aladdin? In addition to this exciting image, the studio also revealed that the "first look" of the film would be arriving on Thursday.

The original Aladdin was released as an animated movie in 1992, starred Robin Williams as Genie and went on to take home two Oscars and earn $504 million at the worldwide box office.

Disney has finally unveiled the first teaser trailer for the next live-action remake, an update of 1992's Aladdin. Aladdin is hitting theaters some time in May.

Guy Ritchie is at the helm of this live-action reboot, with Mena Massoud starring as Aladdin, Naomi Scott playing Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari in the role of Jafar, and Billy Magnussen playing a new character - a prince who wants to win Jasmine's hand in marriage.

Guy Ritchie is helming the new Aladdin movie, from a script he co-wrote with Vanessa Taylor and John August.
