Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores with roundhouse kick to bring up 500th career goal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he is "happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as his 500th victim" after the LA Galaxy superstar scored a landmark goal.

With his LA Galaxy side trailing 3-0 in the first half against Toronto, Ibrahimovic directed the ball in off the post with a incredible, roundhouse spinning kick from a Jonathan dos Santos long ball just before half time.

Ibrahimovic came into Saturday's game tied for second in MLS scoring.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't do anything by halves, so his 500th goal in professional soccer was always going to be ridiculous.

The 36-year-old Swede scored the 500th goal of his seemingly neverending professional career in spectacular fashion on Sunday (NZ time).

He added an additional 62 goals for the Swedish national team. Unfortunately, it was not enough to earn Galaxy a point as Toronto scored two late goals to pick up the 5-3 win. It reminds me of a goal I did in Ajax.

After starting his career at Malmo in Sweden, Ibrahimovic has gone on to score goals for Dutch giants Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and United.

The 36-year-old Swede joined Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only active players with 500 goals for club and global play, cutting the Galaxy's lead to 3-1 in the 43rd minute.
