Jose Mourinho 'has lost patience with forward Anthony Martial'

Man United reportedly considering controversial swap deal for Paulo Dybala

Jerome Boateng has confirmed reports that both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were interested in him this summer while revealing that Jose Mourinho was unable to convince him to leave Bayern Munich.

However, it was the assurances of new manager Niko Kovac, who promised Boateng that he would be an important part of the team this season, which convinced him to stay at the Allianz Arena, as he explained to Mourinho.

Paul Pogba was promised a big move to Spain by his agent, Mino Raiola, after spending three years at Manchester United.

After identifying Toby Alderweireld as his top choice, Mourinho then moved on to the likes of Boateng, Harry Maguire, Yerry Mina, Diego Godin and Kurt Zouma.

According to the London Evening Standard, as reported by the Express, Jose Mourinho has lost his patience with the Frenchman, amid growing uncertainty about the forward's future. However, despite being tempted by a new challenge, the defender explained that it wasn't easy for him to leave a club like Bayern Munich.

'There was a lot of talk, but it was just like that, I'm under contract in Manchester, ' Pogba told the TV station.

Neville the pundit on Pogba would say, "He's a talented player but I want to see more consistency and leadership".

Boateng would have been an excellent signing had United been able to lure him to Manchester as he's been one of the best centre-backs in world football since joining Bayern from Manchester City seven years ago.
