I Believe In Maurizio Sarri's Philosophy, Chelsea Defender Insists

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that Liverpool will be champions Manchester City's closest rivals for the Premier League title this season - essentially dismissing the chances of his side, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Winterburn has been impressed by the impact Sarri has made in west London and says he could transform them into a "sensational" team.

'I don't know today the situation because I have to speak with the doctor.

The Spaniard has bagged three goals in four games under Sarri, and is looking like Chelsea's most unsafe player.

It appears unlikely Terry will be returning to Stamford Bridge - for now.

"If he wants to help us, I am really very happy". For everybody here, I think.

While talking to the press ahead of the Cardiff game, Sarri said: "At the moment, I can only see City or Liverpool [winning it], at the moment", he told a media conference.

"He wants to play with the ball, he wants to play with intensity, to work on the details and to give us all the information he can about the next game and the opponent. It's up to him, I am very open with him because of his history with the club".

"We need another step to be at the same level".

Cesc Fabregas is fit again following a knee injury, but Sarri suggested it may be more beneficial for the playmaker to train this weekend, rather than be a substitute.

Cardiff have yet to win a game this term, drawing two and losing two, but he feels that it will not be easy against the Welsh side. "Mentally after the break it is hard", he said.

It might be the right time for the defender to hang his boots and join the Sarri's coaching staff at the Stamford Bridge.
