France goalkeeper Lloris pleads guilty to drunk driving, fined United States dollars 65000

Tottenham News: Hugo Lloris to keep captaincy confirms Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been fined £50 000 and banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to one count of drink-driving at Westminster Magistrates' Court. He is expected to be out for several weeks.

Lloris will remain captain when he returns from injury despite being convicted of drink driving, manager Mauricio Pochettino said yesterday.

Westminster Magistrates' Court heard officers saw vomit in the auto, which was carrying an unnamed passenger, while Lloris had to be helped from the vehicle.

"Different clubs didn't allow him to go and play in this tournament", Pochettino said, before joking: "Who took the risk? He made a mistake and is suffering, and is punishing himself".

Pochettino said: "We are always confident we can beat any team". "I think he's fit, I have not read or heard what's going on around him, the most important thing for me is that we trust him". The staff, the club, the fans, us, and he said "Any decision that you take gaffer, or the club, I think is fair".

"We've had some fantastic players, the likes of Stevie [Gerrard], [Luis] Suarez and [Philippe] Coutinho, people like that - unbelievable players".

'It was a mistake & then we are men & women - we can all make mistakes. That is why I said to Sonny "I'm waiting for my present". Drink driving is completely unacceptable.

"I am learning a lot!"

"We are disappointed because we are going to miss him for this game and maybe against Inter in the Champions League".

In addition to them, Juan Foyth (thigh) and Moussa Sissoko (hamstring) will also miss the Premier League fixture with Liverpool. I told him today where is my present Sonny?
