Cristiano Ronaldo to open CR7 hotel in Paris

Portugal global Cristiano Ronaldo on Sunday, September 16, scored his first goal for Italian champions Juventus in their 2-1 win over visiting Sassuolo.

The former Real Madrid player not just opened his account for the Italian club, he even doubled his side's lead with another goal in the second half.

Ronaldo added a second 15 minutes later when he finished off a swift counterattack with a precise finish into the bottom right corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo admitted he was relieved to have finally broken his goalscoring duct for Juventus.

"Sassuolo defend well, but we put in an intense performance and deserved to win".

Coach Massimiliano Allegri had said before the match he was not concerned that Ronaldo has failed to find the net despite 23 shots at goal in the team's three wins out of three so far this season. Obviously, I was a little tense with all the talk of Real Madrid and not scoring, but I thank my team-mates for supporting me throughout.

Max Allegri's squad must now focus on the Champions League as it travels to Spain to face Valencia on Wednesday.

Manchester United and Young Boys are also in Group H and Ronaldo acknowledged that a tough task lies ahead for Juventus, who reached the quarter-finals last season.

'The Champions League is my favourite tournament.
