Aaron Rodgers Injury: Packers QB Gives Update Before Week 2 Vs. Vikings

2018 NFL Power Rankings: Mahomes impresses, Rodgers plays magician

Although the quarterback didn't participate in practice, Rodgers did take some time to answer questions about his left knee injury, which he characterized as a sprain.

Rodgers left Sunday night's win over the Chicago Bears in the second quarter and returned to start the second half, completing 17 of 23 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns.

According to Rodgers, the knee has been slowly been getting better, but it still doesn't feel great.

The Packers host the Vikings at Lambeau Field Sunday at noon.

"It's super painful, and you've just got to suck it up and play through it", Rodgers said at his locker.

It appears Adams' absence has nothing to do with a play in the second quarter. Rodgers, however, plays arguably the most premier position on the roster and is a rather significant cornerstone to overall success.

According to Demovsky's tweet on Wednesday afternoon, September 12, Rodgers did not take any pain medications on Sunday night "because he doesn't like them".

Rodgers echoed McCarthy on taking it on a day by day basis and revealed he didn't take pain medications Sunday night. "We'll give him the whole week to get ready. We'll take it day by day and learn as we go".

"He's always responded, puts a lot of extra time in", McCarthy told reporters.

"I would say it's day by day", McCarthy said on Wednesday.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is pretty certain his team will be facing Rodgers.
