Wolves complete move for Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore

Traore to have Wolves medical

Wolves are poised to complete the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City on Thursday over a month after a £16million deal was agreed between the two clubs.

The 22-year-old former Barcelona playmaker departs having scored 5 goals in 71 appearances for Boro and featured 40 times last season.

"I think Wolves are definitely ready for the Premier League", Traore added.

He suffered relegation again during his first campaign with Middlesbrough in 2016-17 but was one of the Championship's most risky attackers as Tony Pulis' team finished fifth, only to be knocked out in the play-offs by Villa.

Manchester City youngster Zinchenko was the club's initial target, but the reigning champions refused to part company with the 21-year-old.

"His efforts were reflected with a triple award win at Boro's End of Season Awards, which has led to Traore's return to the Premier League with Wolves".

Traore is Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo's fifth recruit of the transfer window and follows goalkeeper Rui Patricio, defender Jonny Castro Otto, midfielder Joao Moutinho and forward Raul Jimenez into the club.
