Weiss' manager previously confirmed the news to Page Six, saying that the "Ducks" star's sentence already began, and he remained optimistic about his life after he serves his jail time.

Shaun Weiss, best known for his role as Greg Goldberg, the goalie in The Mighty Ducks franchise, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning (local time) in Northern California. KRON reports that what took people on social media aback more than Weiss' arrest was his mugshot, which made him appear far older than his 39 years.

Despite this, his mugshot was still published on the Oroville Police Department's website - in keeping with the fairly standard but still fundamentally odd USA custom - and TMZ subsequently picked up the story. "He was transported and booked into the Butte County Jail".

According to Nicodemus, the group was "behaving erratically with flashlights", with Weiss shining a light on his own face, giving police reason to believe he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Cops let him sleep it off for a few hours in the tank before cutting him loose without formally citing him, which is standard procedure on most public intoxication arrests in California.

This was not Weiss' first brush with the law. People reported that Weiss was allegedly seen stumbling around a property near Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, Calif. for that incident.

Weiss also starred in the movie "Heavyweights" but has not appeared in any film or television show in recent years.
