West Ham close to agreeing deal to sign Arsenal striker Lucas Perez

Arsenal transfer news

Fiorentina are looking to offload several players this summer in order to trim their squad and the Colombia worldwide is believed to be on the cull list.

Perez is West Ham's eighth signing under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, joining Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Fabian Balbuena and Felipe Anderson in making the move to east London.

"West Ham keeps him in London and in the Premier League, and they are a great club".

Capped 88 times by Colombia, Sanchez would add experience to a position where West Ham do not have depth.

Alfredo Pedulla reports that the two teams are both interested in signing the former Aston Villa midfielder as the end of the transfer window looms.

The Spain worldwide was loaned out to his former employers last season.

A deal for Drinkwater would cost around £3m, with West Ham also having to pay the wages of the 28-year-old. After spending six years there, he would sign for Spanish team Elche but he only lasted a year at that side before signing for Aston Villa.

The Daily Mail states West Ham are eyeing a swoop to bolster their forward ranks due to the fact that Andy Carroll is sidelined following another injury setback, while Jordan Hugill completed a loan move to Middlesbrough yesterday.

West Ham have continued their £100million summer spree by signing Lucas Perez - and will swoop for "The Rock" next.
