Speak No Evil: Trump Confirms Unprecedented Use Of NDAs In West Wing

Should the press take Omarosa's book seriously

President Trump on Tuesday referred to Omarosa Manigault Newman as "that dog" as the former senior White House adviser continued a publicity tour to promote her new book that depicts Trump as a racist.

One administration official said Monday that there isn't a belief in the White House that Manigault Newman poses a larger national security risk after taping her conversation with Kelly in the Situation Room since she wasn't part of any classified or secret discussions of a national security nature during her time in the West Wing.

Trump later hit back at a claim Manigault Newman made in a series of media interviews where she alleged the President used a racial slur on the set of "The Apprentice".

Omarosa married Newman - her second husband - at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., where she walked down the aisle in a lace pink dress, all while she was employed at the White House.

First there were the recordings of John Kelly, chief of staff, reportedly telling Manigault Newman that her work ethics - "money issues and other things" - were of the type that would bring one in the military to court-martial, as the Chicago Tribune reported.

In a morning tweet, Trump praised his chief of staff, John F. Kelly, for past year having fired Manigault Newman, the former reality television star who was the highest-ranking black employee in the White House. Manigault Newman, he noted, has a new book going on sale.

Seth Meyers wasn't ready to just believe everything Omarosa has written or has been saying about Trump or her time in his administration.

"It's all an attempt to just sell a book and I think we need to remember that", Lotter said. "I asked if I could go get my purse where I had stashed my inhaler, and they wouldn't let me leave the room".

Ms Manigault-Newman, who is known to the USA public as Omarosa, was renowned for her ruthless tactics and outspoken attitude on the show.

She added that the remarks were made in reference to Kwame Jackson, an African American contestant on NBC's show, "The Apprentice". She slammed Vice President Mike Pence as a "swamp creature", and went as far as to call Trump "mentally and physically impaired". "They want me out there talking more".

Omarosa! I hear you mentioned me on Meet The Press.

First lady Melania Trump, meanwhile, is disappointed that Manigault Newman "is lashing out and retaliating in such a self-serving way, especially after all the opportunities given to her by the President", said White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham. "Yes, she's a liar and a backstabber with no credibility", he said.

She said she did not write this in her book because she heard the tape after her memoir was sent off for publication.

On Monday the 44-year-old, once a staunch defender of President Trump, released a recording of what she claims is a phone conversation she had with Mr Trump after she was sacked.

Manigault Newman also revealed that Pierson spoke to Kellyanne Conway about the potential tape.

The Trump campaign is a private entity and could legitimately ask employees to sign such agreements. "I wonder if she is recording some of the things that we've talked about as well", he told Fox News' "Fox & Friends".
