Meghan Markle's dad says he never got invite to royal wedding

The 37-year-old newly crowned Duchess of Sussex apparently wants time apart from Thomas Markle, after he recently revealed that he hung up the phone on Prince Harry during a heated call prior to the Royal Wedding on May 19.

Markle, father of Meghan Markle, told the Mail on Sunday that he was in hospital recovering from a heart attack prior to his daughter's wedding when Prince Harry called.

Ragland is "said to be deeply impressed by the Royal Family" after participating in her daughter's wedding, and is "beside herself with excitement" over the prospect of living near Meghan and Harry in London.

The former actress quit her job and moved to Britain to be with her new husband Prince Harry, and it's thought her mum is following suit, The Sun reports.

However, Meghan's optimism about their future relationship may be slightly misplaced, if her father's latest tabloid interview is anything to go by.

Another aide said that Kensington Palace should have personally visited Markle to prepare him for the media before the royal wedding.

As the source explains, Ragland "fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it's somewhere she believes she too could happily live".

"She's getting ready to move to London", a source told The Express. "Of course that didn't happen", he said. Yet it was Meghan who dealt perhaps the most painful blow when she told her father he would not be allowed to make a speech at the wedding.

However, despite locking horns with Harry, 33, over the pictures, Thomas was expecting the couple to visit him in the USA after their honeymoon - particularly as he had just undergone extensive surgery on his heart - but his wish never came true.

Mr Markle responded, "Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead. then you could pretend to be sad".

"I asked Meghan to send invitations to all my family".
