Margot Robbie Shares First Look As Sharon Tate In New Tarantino Film

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood- Margot Robbie

For comparison, here's what the real Sharon Tate looked like.

Sharon's sister, Debra Tate, was initially against the film believing it to be exploitative but has since met with Tarantino who reassured her of the film's content and how the late actress would be depicted.

The prolific actress, who initially shot to fame via Suicide Squad and The Wolf of Wall Street, has climbed aboard Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as Sharon Tate, one of five people killed by the Manson Family nearly 50 years ago.

In the pic, Robbie leans against a wall, donning a Tate-style hairdo, a black turtleneck sweater, a white miniskirt and patent leather go-go boots.

Quentin Tarantino is helming the period project, which will center around the Manson family murders.

The film's storyline, set against the backdrop of the Manson Family murders, casts Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as Hollywood has-beens looking for a way back on top in the 1960s.

DiCaprio previously shared his own first look on Instagram, posting a shot of himself and Pitt in character.

The film will wrap later this year and is due to be released on 26 July next year, having originally been scheduled for 9 August to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the murders committed by Manson and his followers.

The Tarantino movie is set in 1969 and will loop in numerous stories of Hollywood at the time.

DiCaprio will play Rick Dalton, former star of a western TV series, while Pitt will play his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth. Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don't recognize anymore. However, Sharon Tate was famously one of the victims of the murders.

Along with aforementioned actors, the movie also stars Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, James Marsden, Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Burt Reynolds, Clifton Collins Jr, Emile Hirsch, Tim Roth, and Luke Perry.
