Liverpool 3-1 Torino: Reds end pre-season with victory at Anfield

Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Champions League final

There's still one more pre-season fixture to get out of the way before the campaign starts in earnest, but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is already looking past the meeting with Italian side Torino FC at Anfield tomorrow to their Premier League curtain raiser against West Ham United next Sunday and the German isn't exactly chuffed with what he's seeing. Dejan [Lovren] is in, he had not a very long holiday.

Henderson had a hard start to life as a Liverpool player when he joined the club in 2011 from Sunderland, but for the past few seasons has transformed into a dependable option in the middle of the pitch.

"For Raggy [Klavan] and Joel [Matip], probably they are not fit and can not play for the weekend, but we don't need 12 centre-halves, we only need two at least and one to change would be extremely cool".

'I think (Joe Gomez) is OK.

Torino with their former defender Matteo Darmian looking on from the main stand‚ pulled a goal back through Andrea Belotti's fine header.

It took them until the hour mark to make their next chance as Sturridge shot straight at Sirigu from a cute Xherdan Shaqiri pass, and Danny Ings was soon denied by a desperate clearance after bringing down a cross from the Swiss signing and squeezing a shot away.

Klopp shouldn't change much tactically this summer.

The Champions League finalists will kick off as second favourites behind Manchester City, and they're seen as the Citizens' main rivals for a reason, as they dished out one of only two City defeats of the Premier League season past year.

"I was not surprised, to be honest, but as a human being I was hoping for it, that it would be like this".

"We showed tonight a really nice face and that helps, not only Loris but the others as well that they see this is a very special place".

Klopp has not ruled out captain Jordan Henderson featuring on Sunday despite only returning to training at the weekend.

"Hendo for sure was involved in the first goal with a press ball that he didn't win".

'He was in a really good shape so we thought a few minutes tonight would be possible.
