Everton have wrapped up what proved to be a highly active transfer deadline day by confirming that both Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes have joined the club from Barcelona.

The Toffees boss was busy on the final day of the transfer window, bringing those three players to the club, while also securing a loan deal for Kurt Zouma which was confirmed on Friday.

The fee for Mina, who only joined the Spanish champions in January, could rise by €1.5 million and Barcelona have inserted a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

"It's important the club want to fight for something". When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy.

"If he is in a better position and moment than the others then, for sure, he will play".

Mina, the Colombia centre-half who scored against Jordan Pickford at the World Cup, was a priority signing for Silva amid concern over his central defensive options. He has spent two years at Barcelona making 46 league appearances.

He cited Marco Silva as a key reason behind leaving Catalonia for England and claimed that "everyone in Portugal" knows of the 41-year-old's "qualities" as a manager in his interview with Everton's site.

"I have watched the Premier League for a long time".

Bernard, 25, left Shakhtar Donetsk when his contract expired and had been linked to a host of European clubs.

'I chose Everton because of all the things I'd heard about Marco Silva and because Everton is a club with a lot of tradition, ' Bernard told the club's official website.
