Juventus B won the first game 3-2 but they have not beaten the first team in the match since 2005.

Ronaldo joined the team for training on Wednesday after their return from the International Champions Cup in the United States. However, the match had to be abandoned as the fans of the ace Portuguese footballer invaded the ground.

Members of the industrial dynasty - founders of Fiat vehicle manufacturers and often called the "Italian Kennedys" - have lived at "The Castle" in Villar Perosa since the 19th century, while deceased former club chairman Gianni Agnelli was town mayor between 1945 and 1980.

Admittedly, he was playing against Juve's youth team in a pre-season friendly.

Cassano, as a fellow former Real Madrid star, is not surprised to see those at the Santiago Bernabeu part with a 33-year-old talent - even one still at his peak - but is convinced that a modern-day icon will continue to shine in Turin.

Interest in Juve and in Italian football has spiked following Ronaldo's arrival. "He's won the last three", said Savelli.

He then forced an own goal from Riccardo Capellini 10 minutes later. The 33-year-old Portugal worldwide will likely make his proper debut in Juventus's first league match of the season at Chievo next Saturday.

Come the half-time whistle, Ronaldo shot off the pitch - followed by one ambitious fan who had to be held off by security after dashing towards and trying to hug his new hero - and towards delirous fans waiting near the dressing rooms, for whom he patiently signed autographs and posed for selfies.

As is custom, the game was interrupted in the second half for a pitch invasion and the game ended with Juventus picking up a comfortable win.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has opened up on his decision to leave Real for Juventus, citing the standing ovation fans gave him when he blitzed them apart back in April.
