Bethesda Nixes Steam in Favor of Its Own Launcher - Fallout 76

Fallout 76 BETA is the full game with progress carried over

A bunch of Fallout 76 beta information has been released as we presumably get closer to it taking place.

It was previously announced that expansion DLC for the game will be free, but there will be paid cosmetic items.

The Fallout 76 beta will only be available to those that pre-order the PS4, Xbox One and PC game - and it will come to Microsoft's console first.

If Bethesda has its way, the Fallout 76 beta will give players access to the entire game. That's pretty bold and personally makes me wonder if the game is really bursting at the seams with content, so much so that you couldn't possibly blow through it all in a weekend beta period. It's worth noting that this applies to launch only, as the company has not said that Fallout 76 won't be available on Steam later down the line.

"With that in mind, we know you're anxious to learn more about the game and more specifically, about the B.E.T.A". In Quake Champions' case, the open beta had a couple of short months' head start on Bethesda's launcher, whereas it was eight months in Fallout Shelter's case.

"Be sure you've read our F.A.Q., for details on how to redeem your B.E.T.A. code and other important details". With all of the hooplah about the game since Bethesda is taking their iconic RPG series into a new frontier with online play, many long-time fans are interested in checking out the game before launch to see how this new format will work. Everyone who preorders the game will be invited to take part.
