Barcelona will have a buy-back option on Yerry Mina

Everton boss Marco Silva

"It was a big problem for me, these 10-12 players that we could not look after in a squad of 24, and that creates a lot of problems", he said. His form for them was so good he has been awarded 13 caps for Brazil, although he was not part of their squad that went to the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer. I am also determined to do my best for Everton.

Mina and Gomes both passed medicals in Barcelona on Thursday after Everton officials flew to the Catalan city to finalise the deals.

Yerry Mina has vowed to seize "a great opportunity" after becoming the standout signing on a frantic transfer deadline day for Everton.

The fee could rise by 1.5 million euros and Barcelona have inserted a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

Portuguese midfielder Gomes, 25, will join on a season-long loan at a cost of 2.25 million euros for the English club.

"Barcelona would like to publicly express their thanks to Yerry Mina for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future".

The 25-year-old described his spell with Barca as "a kind of hell" during a candid interview in March, adding that he does not "feel good on the pitch".

However, Mina failed to impress in just six appearances for Barca since signing from Palmeiras in January.

The Portugal global joined Barcelona from Valencia for an initial €35m two years ago but has struggled to make an impact at the club.

The relationship between Barcelona and Everton is believed to be strong, with left-back Lucas Digne already moving to Goodison Park from the Nou Camp in this window.
