The 2026 World Cup will be played in North America

Spurs to host Liverpool in first match at their new stadium as they start Premier League season at Wembley

A day before the World Cup commences in Russian Federation - without the US men's national team, which failed to qualify - a FIFA vote awarded the 2026 tournament to a joint bid led by the United States that also includes Canada and Mexico. Gazinsky charged forward to meet the ball as Saudi player Taisir Al-Jassam stumbled, leaving him a simple finish.

"In our country, football is not just a popular sport, not just the most handsome sport - people here truly love it", the Russian leader said.

"Thank you for entrusting us with this privilege", U.S. Soccer Federation President Carlos Cordeiro told the congress. Argentina suffered a heart-breaking loss in the final to Germany in extra time at World Cup 2014 in Brazil, and they'll be focused on getting back to the final this tournament.

"We are honored to be a part of the USA bid package, and we believe Nashville has a legitimate shot at hosting a World Cup event". All of the World Cup games will be available here for soccer fans in the U.S.

Canada will officially co-host 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. Those numbers are crucial to courting votes of Federation Internationale de Football Association member nations, which get a share of the body's revenues.

Decio de Maria, President of the Football Association of Mexico, left, and Canadian soccer player Alphonso Davies, right, present a joint United bid by Canada, Mexico and the United States to host the 2026 World Cup at the FIFA congress in Moscow, Russia, Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

City's record at Arsenal leaves a lot to be desired with just two away victories clinched since 1975 - but the Blues secured a hat-trick of victories against Arsene Wenger's side last season, including a 3-0 triumph in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley. "From the big picture standpoint, this is going to be a relatively easy, low-priced event to bring to North America and bring to Boston".

"We cast our vote for the United bid as we believe the independent technical assessment made its advantages very clear".

England, drawn in Group G, will play their first game of the tournament against Tunisia in Volgograd on Monday.
