Good luck understanding Death Stranding after its new trailer

Death Stranding E3 Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Death Stranding has been the strangest and most mysterious title in Sony's catalog of games labeled "coming soon" - or at some point, anyway. Then we're treated to star Norman Reedus walking around the somewhat alien landscape, with robot tractor drones and a whole back full of boxes, nearly like a one-man Oregon Trail.

Death Stranding is exclusive to PlayStation 4.

The current cast, as noted in the trailer, is Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and introducing Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner. Neither can I. The closest thing to actual gameplay shown was trying to sneak by those black creatures near the end of the trailer. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Interestingly, characters other than Reedus are shown carrying out similar explorations, and numerous slides throughout the trailer highlighted cooperation or interaction.

Later in the trailer we saw a distinctly non-MGS kind of stealth gameplay, with Sam crouching low and using that odd shoulder-mounted contraption from the last trailer to keep track of semi-invisible predators.

For example, the new clip is the first to show some form of gameplay from Death Stranding.

E3 2018 has seen the unveiling and additional information released about a number of notable upcoming games.

The brainchild of the eccentric Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding was originally announced during E3 2016 with a debut trailer starring Norman Reedus as the game's protagonist, named Sam. Hideo explains that for the objective of her role in the game, his studio went through the process of recreating Wagner's younger self from her recent 3D scan data.
