Alisson to Real Madrid isn't quite a done deal.

Liverpool have been monitoring Roma goalkeeper Alisson very closely as they seek a world-class replacement for Loris Karius, who was scrutinised after his two howlers in his side's 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last month.

And Roma president Pallotta conceded that the goalkeeper is indeed closing in on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

But Liverpool look to have been hit with a huge transfer blow after the Roma star reportedly agreed terms with Real Madrid. After all, Alisson is only 25, proven at the highest level and is the type of goalkeeper-especially given his excellent distribution-who would fit into a Klopp side well at Anfield. "Alisson costs a lot, it will take €78 million, he is close to Real Madrid whilst Nainggolan is close to Inter". In fact I was joking around with a group of guys and responded sarcastically with a reference to the popular rumours on Twitter and in the papers since I've been in Italy, ' Roma's American owner said.

"I think from Roma's perspective it makes sense to see what happens after the World Cup and what kind of tournament Alisson has".

'There was nothing serious about anything I said whilst making pizza.

He will start the World Cup as Brazil's number one ahead of Manchester City's Ederson.

The player everyone expects to leave Stoke after their relegation from the Premier League is Shaqiri.

"If it doesn't get resolved before our first game [of the World Cup], then we'll talk about it after because during it, my mind is only going to be 100 percent focused on Brazil".
