America's Got Talent contestant Courtney Hadwin earns golden buzzer from Howie Mandel

Courtney Hadwin gets Golden Buzzer from Howie on America's Got Talent 2018

"America's Got Talent" returns for its fourth night of auditions next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CityTV.

Courtney Hadwin gets the Golden Buzzer from Howie on America's Got Talent Season 13 Auditions Week 3 Episode on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

What happened in between was her transformation into a soulful singing dynamo that prompted judge Howie Mandel to compare her to Janis Joplin.

She soulfully sang "Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding. "I am quiet and sticking to my own path", she says.

"Thank you so much Howie Mandel I am so happy and can't thank you enough".

However, when it came time to actually audition, no one was expecting the kind of performance the shy teenage "AGT" hopeful was going to pull out.

Watch her performance on the video below.

Courtney competed in The Voice Kids UK a year ago but missed out on the top prize.

Courtney said getting the golden buzzer was more than she "could have dreamed".

Since then, the young talent has continued to make a name for herself in the region, appearing on stage at the of Waterfront Festival held at Jackson's Wharf previous year.

Then, Hadwin opened her mouth and showed off just how big a voice the small teen truly had, delivering a flamboyant and energetic rendition of the iconic tune that absolutely blew away everyone in the audience.

The teen also appeared as part of the South Tyneside Festival summer concert line up in Bents Park in South Shields in July past year where she entertained more than 18,000 people.
