Rod Fergusson Wants A Brumak In Monster Hunter World

Gears of War Developer Wants Brumak in Monster Hunter World

With little to no competition from major titles, it dominated the games industry for a few months.

In the table below you can see the forecast for releases in the current fiscal year.

From Capcom's Consolidated financial results: "The Company's flagship title Monster Hunter: World (for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), which was released worldwide in January 2018, significantly contributed to the Company's performance after garnering enormous popularity for its near-flawless execution and shipping more than 7.5 million units worldwide, a landmark achievement that made it the bestselling game in the Company's history". We're getting 53 SKUs (which includes not only games, but also different versions and localizations), and while Capcom predicts a sharp decrease of packaged sales in Japam, they should increase by a similar amount in North America and Europe.

Thanks to the success of Monster Hunter: World, Capcom are reporting the "Highest Levels of Profitability in Company History" with net sales up 8.4%, and operating income up 17.5%.

Roughly translated: The suits now consider Monster Hunter a big fucking deal.

Monster Hunter World was one of the main contributors, according to the company. That's not all though, as Capcom expect to keep the good trend the next fiscal year and forecast net sales of 96,000 million yen, with net income of 12,000 million yen. Other hit games included Monster Hunter XX for Nintendo Switch and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.
