Rishabh Pant's 56-ball ton floors Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag

       Williamson stars again as Sunrisers

The next stop: With a playoff berth now sewn up, Sunrisers Hyderabad will turn their attention to securing a home final as well as perfecting their tactics and line-up when they take on Chennai in Pune on Sunday.

Dhawan, due for a big score, rose to the occasion with a sublime innings that was laced with nine boundaries and four sixes.

Rishabh Pant (128*) then came out at No. 4 and made his intentions very clear right from the outset with a hat-trick of boundaries against pacer Siddarth Kaul (4-48-0). Trent Boult with the ball for DD.In OVERS 1.5, Harshal Patel struck early, Alex Hales gone for 14.

There have been question marks about the top order of the Sunrisers but Dhawan and Williamson were on top for the duration of their stay at the crease.

It was his sixth half century and took his tournament tally to 493.

By now, Delhi had lost all hopes of a comeback as the Sunrisers duo handsomely outbatted the efforts of the hosts with seven balls to spare. Sunrisers' brilliant performance came after Pant's maiden IPL hundred, an innings having a flawless blend of a high-quality and innovative strokeplay, which were not enough to arrest his team's slide. Before this Rishabh Pant of Delhi Daredevils scored 128 not out in 63 deliveries which made Delhi score a huge total of 187. The move clearly did not go as per plan as Delhi were struggling at 38-2 at the end of the Powerplay overs with openers Prithvi Shaw (9) and Jason Roy (11) back in the hut.

He was particularly ruthless against Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as Delhi Daredevils stormed to 187/5 off their 20 overs. Ridiculous, because he was responsible for two run-outs in the Delhi innings. The way Pant attacked Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan was marvellous and this innings will surely give Pant confidence and it will reaffirm that he belongs at the global level and despite Delhi's dismal season, Pant has turned a corner and his India recall is not far away. So much so was the might of his innings that he hit the death over specialist Bhuvaneshwar Kumar for 26 runs in the last 5 balls.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's star batsmen Shikhar Dhawan played marvellous unbeaten 92 in 50 balls and skipper Williamson played 83 runs not out in just 53 balls.
