Lincoln County May 2018 Primary Election

And while we're thinking about the Benton County commission race: This would have been an ideal election in which to test the ranked choice voting system that county voters approved in a November 2016 election.

That translates to 14.74 percent total voter turnout, compared to four years ago when 18.11 percent of voters cast ballots. You may register on Election Day at your polling site.

Voter turnout in Whitley County's Primary Election was 26 percent, which is 4,626 voters, in addition to the 1,160 early votes that came in.

However, Tina Barrow, the County Elections Administrator, did show 297 mail-in ballots received from over-65 and non-ambulatory voters.
