Meghan Markle's dad may not attend royal wedding, reports say

The national unemployment rate hit 5.6 per cent in April

Photos of Markle intently studying "Images of Great Britain: A Pictorial Tour Through History" in a Starbucks quickly went viral - but were later discovered to have been staged.

The website reports that Mr Markle suffered a heart attack six days ago, but had checked himself out of the hospital in order to attend the upcoming nuptials.

A global audience will be watching when Prince Harry weds his USA fiancee Meghan Markle on Saturday, but most Britons don't care much, a YouGov poll said on Monday.

Britain's royal family requested "understanding and respect" be extended to Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, amid the "difficult situation".

Before Markle Sr admitted to staging the paparazzi shots, Buckingham Palace released a statement telling the media to back off.

Officials also said that on the day of the wedding, Markle's mother would accompany her in a auto ride to Windsor Castle and that Markle's father would walk his daughter down the aisle at St. George's Chapel.

Ms Markle's half-sister, Samantha, tweeted Monday that she is to blame for the photo debacle.

Sarah, Duchess of York, was left off the guest list when Prince William Wednesday Kate Middleton in 2011, but she has been invited this weekend at Prince Harry's behest.

TMZ reported that Markle Sr meant no harm to his daughter or the royal family when he allowed the photo agency to take the pictures and that he had not been motivated by money.

Amongst all the drama are Harry and his bride-to-be, who is now facing the prospect of walking down the aisle in front of the world's media without her father by her side. Then, new photos showed him in clear view being fitted for a wedding suit.

It's all hands on deck for the royal wedding this weekend and even the royal animals are getting involved.

"When we discovered Prince Harry proposed over a roast chicken, we simply had to show our support for the big occasion", a KFC spokesperson said in a statement to Mashable. "But they are in a good place now". I was also told that he had a heart attack. "It's not an easy thing to do and I think his experience and rank would make her feel less nervous - as at least one of them would know what to do". While 60 percent of respondents say they like Queen Elizabeth, her son Charles is far less popular.

The Daily Mirror claims Mr Markle has pulled out of the royal wedding so as not to embarrass his daughter.

There was no independent confirmation that Mr Markle had been ill, however. They were due to travel to the chapel together on Saturday.
