Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament Demo Release Date Confirmed for Japan

Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament Demo set for June 1 to 3 in Japan

Mario will set out on an adventure through the island taking on various challenges and bosses. It is the latest entry in the Mario Tennis series from Camelot, and will be the first console offering to have RPG elements similar to those found in the handheld versions. Though these Mario sports titles might seem a little weird to someone on the outside looking in, they've managed to build up a devoted following of fans over the years.

With the unveiling of a new Super Smash Bros. title, and the general hype surrounding Nintendo's E3 presence, it may have been easy to forget that Mario Tennis Aces is due out next month for the Nintendo Switch.

Get a taste of the tennis action that awaits in Mario Tennis Aces with the Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch online tournament, available to download in advance of the tournament running from 16.00 CEST on Friday 1 June until 00.59 CEST on Monday 4 June. It will be going live on the 1st of June and will run until the 3rd of June.

Today's trailer description reads that "In Adventure mode, level up Mario and thwart the wicked plans of Wario, Waluigi, and the legendary racket itself".

Users who participate in the demo will obtain "Overalls Mario" for use in the full game when it launches.

Nintendo released a new trailer that showcases the story of Mario Tennis Aces (and some more gameplay.) According to the Adventure Mode trailer, spirits have possessed the rackets of participants in the tournament including Wario, Waluigi and Luigi.
