Mac Miller Arrested for DUI in California

Mac Miller

As if he did not already have quite a bit on his mind bringing him down recently, "Hi" rapper Mac Miller has managed to get himself into some seriously hot water with the law.

TMZ reports Miller crashed his Mercedes G-Wagon into a power pole, plowing it to the ground.

Mac was also with 2 people in the auto when he got into the accident, and they reportedly all fled the scene on foot. Cops were able to trace the vehicle's plates to Mac's house, where they found him.

The news outlet says that Miller had been seen driving his 2016 G-Wagon drunkenly around the San Fernando Valley, after which around 1 AM he rammed his vehicle into a power pole and then chose to flee the scene. He was immediately handcuffed and taken to prison.

Currently, Mac is still in jail and his bail is set at $15K. But if there's any silver lining in the whole ordeal, police did state that Miller was one of the most "nice" and "polite" intoxicated people that they have ever dealt with. In the photo, the rapper is covering his head with a sweatshirt as he is clearly not in the mood to have his picture taken. As the Inquisitr reported last week, the couple called it quits after almost two years of dating.

The news comes pretty much exactly a week after he and his ex-girlfriend, pop star Ariana Grande, announced that they had split up amicably, having dated since August 2016.

Miller's last Instagram post with Grande was back in November of a year ago.

Miller, whose real name is Malcolm James McCormick, was arrested for DUI at his home an hour later.
