Honor 10 Will Go Official in India Today as a Flipkart Exclusive

Honor 7C with Dual Cameras to Launch in India on May 22nd

Telecom giant Huawei's sub-brand Honor is all set to launch an upgrade version of its Honor 7X smartphone in the form of the new Honor 7C. However, it is widely speculated that the phone will be priced at around Rs 35,000. The Honor 7C is expected to come with a price tag of Rs. 8,000 to 10,000.

For photography, Huawei has already established its pedigree with its Leica-powered P-series of phones.

Coming to the features of the phone, the Honor 10 has borrowed heavily from the recently-launched Huawei P20 phones.

As you would expect from a flagship this year, you get a huge bezel-less display measuring 5.84-inch running at 2,280 x 1080 and including the ubiquitous notch which houses an impressive 24MP selfie camera. The smartphone also comes with the glass back with that Aurora back gradient design that reflects patterns when seen against the light. The fingerprint reader like expected is not embedded inside the display, instead, it is an invisible ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that can also detect a wet finger.

The Kirin 970 is the only second mobile SoC in the world besides the A11 Bionic on the iPhone X which comes with something called the NPU - a neural processing unit - that has a singular objective to speeding up machine learning on the device and not guzzle huge amounts of power. The Dual SIM (Nano + Nano + microSD) phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top.

The phone will be available in three variants.

The device comes in two variants based on the memory configuration - 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage. The dual camera setup comprises of 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth-sensing.

China variant of the Honor 10 has a 16MP (f1.8) + 24MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, LED flash and 4k video recording support. Connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. The phone packs in a 3400 mAh battery which can be charged from 0%-50% in just 25 mins with the included 22.5 W SuperCharge adapter. Thanks to the NPUs used in the Kirin 970 chipset, the rear cameras come with AI scene recognition.
