Cardi B Prays for Azealia Banks After Receiving Insults From Fellow Rapper

Cardi B

"Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women's culture was really reaching an all-time high", she said. Banks then said that this "really, really intelligent conversation" had ended with the arrival of Cardi B.

After Banks referred to the "I Like It" rapper as an "illiterate, untalented rat" and a "caricature of a black woman", and then some, Cardi posted a heated reaction on her Instagram that read in part: "Pray for your own success before you pray for the downfall of others".

Banks continued: "Like, if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I'd be cancelled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day", she added. She used to be able to list all the USA presidents in order of term but is too nervous to try it in front of me. I did not choose to be famous - people choose me.

Azealia has also deactivated her twitter account for the time being. I've never dismissed my heritage or my culture, I've never pretended to sound like anyone or look like anyone for attention or to make me feel better about who I'm not! Cardi responded to that diss by simply posting a video of Azealia dancing and singing along to her songs at the club. I'm willing to bet that quite a few swimming up the mainstream didn't come close to understanding what Donald Glover was trying to say through his "This is America" visuals and were instead focused on fine-tuning their "shooter" and "gwara gwara" dances for the 'Gram before they were rudely interrupted by about a million thinkpieces about the video's searing symbolism.

The "212" rapper labelled Cardi a "caricature of a black woman" last week, before a subsequent Instagram feud prompted Cardi to delete her entire account.

Cardi then hit Banks where it hurt, saying she doesn't stay true to herself while referencing that Banks previously admitted to bleaching her skin. It's likely not to hold though.

In response, Cardi wrote one final message before she deleted her account.

The Bronx rapper eventually walks away, but someone screams out to her, "Come outside, you B**ch!"

Banks on the other hand has 545 000 followers.
