Arrow Season 7 Will Lose a Series Regular

Paul Blackthorne, who has played Quentin Lance since the very beginning of the series, will not be returning for Arrow Season 7, reports multiple outlets.

Blackthorne's exit follows the departure of fellow original cast member Willa Holland, who played Oliver's sister, Thea.

Those are only a couple of the changes that have occurred on Arrow this season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the specifics as to how Lance will be written out "are being kept under wraps", but I can't help turning my head toward one Ricardo Diaz. Quentin Lance on the DC Comics drama "Arrow", is leaving the series at the end of its current season 6, a spokesperson for the network tells TheWrap.

Meanwhile, Colton Haynes will return in season 7 as a series regular, reprising his role as Roy Harper.

As to how Quentin Lance exits the show, that's anybody's guess. The news comes after Willa Holland chose to exit the series, taking the character of Thea Queen with her and leaving Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) without his sister in Star City. Outraged by the vigilante's violent methods, Lance constantly hunted him with a tenacity that seemed counterproductive to stopping whatever greater threat happened to be plotting the destruction of Starling City (later redubbed Star City).

Airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Rick Gonzalez, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Kirk Acevado, Paul Blackthorne and Katie Cassidy.
