Young man stabbed to death in Forest Gate in latest London killing

On the same evening, Amaan Shakoor, 16, became the youngest murder victim of the year so far when he was shot in an attack in Walthamstow.

A woman in her 30s has been stabbed to death in south London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Police and paramedics were called to Chestnut Avenue where they found the 18-year-old suffering from knife wounds at around 10.50pm.

The report said that in 2018, over 35 people have been stabbed to death in the capital.

The Colindale victim was treated by land and air ambulance crews before being taken to hospital in central London. Next of kin are aware.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray near the scene of another separate attack in Haringey, north London.

KGM police immediately took action as carried out raid and arrested accused Kanji Kolhi and recovered from him involved sharp knife.

"It is believed the victim and male arrested were known to each other".

"Upon arrival, officers observed suspicious circumstances, secured the scene and notified homicide detectives", he said.

A police cordon remains around the scene at Head Street.

The latest two killings bring the number of suspected murders in the capital this year to 59.
