Weather Authority: Rain, snow, and storms all possible on Friday

Downpours some heavy will sweep across the nation from early on Friday

Despite the colder start, we should bounce back nicely with slightly warmer temperatures.

Showers are possible in the Providence area, especially before noon on Sunday, before becoming mostly cloudy.

Breezy and much cooler with times of clouds and sunshine and a stray shower late. Our next best chance of rain is not until next Friday at the earliest with our next cold front. If you have a choice on which day to do your chores, between Saturday and Sunday, take Saturday to relax and Sunday to do the chores.

Our Thursday started off gloomy and wet, but as expected the rain pushed into Georgia early this afternoon and the sun returned. Today's high is 72 degrees with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.

It will start off cool with morning temperatures in the 40s but sunny skies will bring temperatures up into the low to mid 60s in the afternoon as a cool northerly breeze increases up to 10 miles per hour. It will be another warm day as our high temperatures will again be in the 70s to around 80-degree mark. Afternoon highs will jump up into the low 80s Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

More chances for a mix of snow and rain showers on Sunday with highs in the low to mid 40s.

Thursday night: Increasing clouds, a shower possible toward dawn. Highs hit the lower 70s on Monday, and push to near 80° on Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will sweep through the area, bringing more showers to the Valley.
