Temperatures soar this afternoon ahead of a cold front

A Nice End to the Workweek

The one weather system we will be watching is for a quick hitting cold front to move through the northern Rockies Saturday.

Highs should reach the lower 50s on Sunday with northeasterly breezes. That northwest flow will be the culprit for the cooler temperatures out there today as we will struggle to make the low 60s.

A bit warmer, with highs in the upper 60s.

Also note that temperatures will cool down early next week into the upper 50s to low 60s, but should rebound to near 70 again by Wednesday. This time, we just expect rain.thunderstorms aren't in the mix this time.

Friday: Mostly sunny, not as chilly. So as an upper-level trough is exiting the East Coast we'll see a piece of energy cycle through and bring a little more cloud cover to the region during the afternoon and evening. Don't be surprised if there is some patchy frost across the area Friday morning, especially in the usual areas. Otherwise, becoming mostly sunny later today. The wind will also be a factor as it blows out of the northwest at 12-25 miles per hour with some higher gusts.

Dry conditions will continue into the weekend. There will be a few clouds, but the day as a whole looks pretty bright and the winds won't be as strong.

Monday through Tuesday... A chance of showers develops by late Sunday evening through Monday.
