Shenmue I and II will release on modern consoles and PC

Shenmue I & II remaster officially announced with first trailer

Yup, that's right, Yo Suzuki's much beloved kung-fu action-adventure games will land on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2018.

Fan favorites from the Sega Dreamcast era, Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2 have just been announced to be headed to modern platforms and PC. The re-release will stay true to the originals with modernised features including fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers. The Shenmue collection will receive both a physical and digital release. The first ever Shenmue title had arrived back in 1999, and had held the distinction of being the most expensive video game ever to have been produced. The official announcement trailer is not enough to base on, either, since Sega noted at the start that "This trailer uses pre-release footage, and represents a work in progress". The long-anticipated follow-up, Shenmue III, is also due for release later this year following a highly successful Kickstarter campaign.

Shenmue I & II, a collection that includes remastered versions of the first 2 installments of the SEGA franchise, was announced last week and is a fact that will reach America.

Adam Koralik is a content creator focused on gaming and made his way over to Tokyo, Japan to talk about the upcoming Shenmue and Shenmue 2 remasters with Sega.
