Ten weeks ago today, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski declined to commit to playing football in 2018.

The Patriots open the voluntary portion of their offseason program on Monday.

The New England Patriots tight end has been mulling retirement this offseason due to concerns over his health and reported issues with head coach Bill Belichick.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gronk has had "good communication" with the organization, and he is still weighing whether he wants to play in 2018.

Gronkowski has a base salary of $8 million this year.

It's unclear whether Gronkowski is angling for more money or a trade.

"We have the voluntary offseason program that starts on Monday", he said. It's possible he's simply thinking about moving on after eight seasons and plenty of injuries and surgeries.
