In 2018, more than $280,000 was paid to the law firm of Larocca, Hornik, Rosen, Greenberg & Blaha and another firm owned by Charles Harder, which represent Trump and his personal attorney Michael Cohen in the court fight with Daniels.

Trump is in the middle of a costly legal battle with adult film star Stormy Daniels, who is suing the president to get out of a nondisclosure agreement he didn't sign.

The latest figures bring the Trump campaign's total spending on legal fees to almost $4 million since the president took office, records show.

Trump's campaign raised $10.1 million in 2018's first three months and has $28.3 million in the bank, the campaign finance report shows.

The campaign's legal consulting spending went to at least eight different firms and the Trump Corporation.

Trump's campaign has used millions of his campaign cash in the past year to pay legal fees - including some fees associated with responding to the Russian Federation investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The campaign s pent almost $150,000 at businesses owned by the president this year, including for lodging, catering and rent at properties that include the Trump International Hotel in Washington and Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Besides increasing money due to his effort, money for campaigns have also amassed using all the Republican National Committee, which utilizes that capital.

The Trump committee also paid almost $1.7 million for digital consulting and online advertising services to Parscale Strategy LLC, the firm of Brad Parscale, Trump's 2020 campaign manager.

That was a big increase over the last quarter of 2017, when the three committees together raised $12.5 million.

In late March, the campaign paid $22,000 to John McEntee, who joined as senior adviser for campaign operations after he was forced out of his position as Trump's personal assistant earlier in the month. McEntee was sacked from the White House amid a Department of Homeland Security investigation into possible financial crimes, a source told CNN after he was dismissed.
