Officers Shot, 1 Dead, Another Injured In Dallas Home Depot

The Dallas Police Department confirmed that two officers and a civilian were shot on Tuesday

Two Dallas Police officers have been shot and critically wounded, the Dallas Police Department wrote on Twitter.

The incident happened as the officers helped a security guard "responding to an incident" at a Home Depot store, WFAA says.

One civilian was also shot in the incident Tuesday afternoon at the Home Depot at USA 75 and Forest Lane, multiple sources told WFAA. Both were taken to a hospital, where one officer later died, according to reports. Police were still searching the area for Juarez.

The police department asked for prayers for the officers and their families. A civilian was also injured in the shooting. Dallas PD would only confirm there was a "very active scene" but declined to provide any information.

SKY 4 video shows dozens of police units searching the woods behind the Home Depot for the suspect connected to the incident.

DART's Forest Lane Station is shut down for the time being, according to the agency.
