National Weather Service confirms tornado in Baxter County in Friday's storms

The National Weather Service said a tornado hit the city of Greensboro on Sunday and killed one person. It started near Timberlake in northwest Campbell County, moved into western Lynchburg, then crossed the James River into Amherst County.

However, if the damage on either side of the damage path is blown down in one direction on the left side and the opposite direction on the other side of the path, it's likely it was a tornado that caused the damage.
