Manchester United v West Bromwich

Manchester City are now champions of the English Premier League for the 2017/2018 season.

However, on Sunday, United looked lazy and uninspired and one mistake during the match cost them a humiliating defeat against the bottom-placed West Brom.

"I trust in my work, that is for sure".

"We were masters in complication, everything was complicated", Mourinho added.

"We've won you the league, Manchester City, we've won you the league", sang West Brom's fans near the end of the game.

The Spaniard also said that Saturday's defeat was a big disappointment after the second-half display at Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho has named the six teams that should be capable of challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Guardiola might not have seen Jay Rodriguez's 73rd-minute winning goal at Old Trafford because he was due to be playing golf with his son instead of watching the match. City devoured a good Tottenham team at Wembley after a week in which they were supposed to have lost their air of invincibility.

Former England global Gary Lineker, who now work as a television presenter, tweeted: "Congratulations to @ManCity on winning the Premier League title. Everything was slow. Everyone was one more touch, one more trick, one more flick, one more turn". So Manchester City guaranteed to win the title with five matches to spare.

"Unbelievable season for us", said midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, perhaps City's standout player over the past eight months.

City have won the title with five games remaining, equalling the record set by United in the 2000-01 campaign.

"Hopefully [West Brom] can help us, but if they can't we have the game at our place at the weekend to try to win again".

City clinched the first division league title in 1936-1937 and 1967-1968, while they have won the competition in its current form twice - in 2011-2012 and 2013-2014.

Victory for West Brom came in just the second game for caretaker boss Darren Moore and the 43-year-old believes restoring a sense of togetherness is the key to ending a torrid season on a high.

"I think United will win".

Guardiola has won titles with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, while also conquering the Champions League during his Camp Nou reign.
