The victor of that match will progress through to the semi-finals and the loser will be out of medal contention.

Kenya's Lionesses hopes of winning a medal in Women's Rugby sevens at the Commonwealth Games faded after a shocking 45-0 defeat to New Zealand in Women's Pool Round-Pool A, at Robina Stadium.

They will now face Olympic gold medallists Fiji in the last four (04:05, SA time), while England and New Zealand will meet in the other semi.

The West Sussex star is one win away from a medal - and two away from gold - after England swept aside Wales with a 45-0 victory on the Gold Coast today.

"But we have cultivated a lot of mental resilience this year so we decided we were going to park the semi-final defeat and enjoy the incredible experience. But if you make mistakes you will get punished for it and New Zealand are an incredible side".

The result leaves South Africa two from two for the tournament after they cruised to a 43-0 win over Malaysia earlier in the day.

The second half was less demoralising as the Bok women only let in one try, but by then the damaged had been done.
