Apple Stores Are Overwhelmed By Numerous iPhone Battery Replacement Requests

Apple Ditching iPhone Dual Rear Cameras For Triple-Camera Setup

The good news for those who think iPhone prices are out of control is that UBS also predicts that Apple will ensure a constant influx of new customers by further reducing prices at the bottom of the range. Apple knows the value of bringing new people into the ecosystem even as it aims to maintain premium pricing for most models.

The employee who leaked the meeting to a reporter later told Apple investigators that he did it because he thought he wouldn't be discovered.

Apple had previously denied any plans around possibly killing its service but, as of last month that changed.

There's still plenty of time for Apple to add a RED iPhone X to its lineup before new models arrive this fall.

Not surprisingly, Gurman was also first to report on the leak of the memo, which is reprinted in full below.

In Q4 2017, or call it Apple's fiscal Q1 2018, the high price of iPhone helped to see a record increase in the ASP (Average Selling Price), which clocked $796, up $100 YoY.

The overarching message of the memo is that "leaks are completely avoidable", but anyone who does leak to the press on objective can expect to be found by Apple's well-resourced security department and prosecuted to the fullest possible extent. But people who leak - whether they're Apple employees, contractors or suppliers - do get caught and they're getting caught faster than ever. Unless they are an authorized-by-Apple fix provider, however, they can only obtain "after-market" parts, not parts directly from the iPhone manufacturer.

Out of upcoming models, One will be an update of iPhone X. Its name is expected to be iPhone X2.

Nearly all the major details of iPhone X were leaked ahead of its highly anticipated launch a year ago. iOS and macOS have also suffered similar leaks. Last year, another employee was sacked for leaking details about the iPhone X, iPad Pro, and AirPods to 9to5Mac. "In some cases, they face jail time and massive fines for network intrusion and theft of trade secrets both classified as federal crimes", the memo says.
