Another Dead Rising Game Is On The Way

Capcom is already shutting down Puzzle Fighter

It's been nearly two years since the last game in the series was announced at E3 before releasing at Christmas time in 2016.

Capcom is shutting down its tile-matching multiplayer mobile game Puzzle Fighter.

The company is also making characters Regina, Dr.

I don't play many mobile games and tend to bounce around, playing one specific game for a few months before moving on to another. In a post on Capcom's blog, the company announced that they will be sunsetting the game come 31st of July.

"As the studio is dedicating its focus to our flagship Dead Rising franchise, we have chose to sunset Puzzle Fighter", reads the Capcom Unity blog post. Unfortunately, this will render the game unplayable as it relies on being connected online due to the timers and loot boxes tied to the game. That date is set for July 31, with the game still available in the App Store until July 1. What comes next for the series remains to be seen. To make it up to players who will miss the game, Capcom will be giving users 10,000 gems which is the game's in-game currency. Wily, and Ada Wong - and stages - Darminor and Uroboros Laboratory - free to play until the game is shut down. If nothing else, maybe this news can go in the "good" column for Dead Rising fans, as it will now apparently receive the full attention of Studio Vancouver. Also, the game's soundtrack is now available to listen to at no cost on SoundCloud and the Classic Mode limited event will be open throughout the remainder of the game's run.
