WWE announces Fabulous Moolah memorial battle royal

WWE have bowed to pressure to change the name of the upcoming Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal after two days of backlash and online controversy. However, that immediately did not bode well with the WWE Universe, and an outrage occurred.

Much like The Andre The Giant Battle Royal match for the men, which began in 2014, the 30-woman battle royal match was going to debut at Wrestlemania 34 and would be named after wrestling legend The Fabulous Moolah.

A Reddit thread encouraged WWE fans to reach out to the sponsors of WrestleMania 34, including Snickers and Rocket League, to inform them of Moolah's sketchy past.

The company noted that they were recently made aware of the WWE's decision to honor The Fabulous Moolah and that this act is "unacceptable". "We are engaging with the WWE to express our disappointment". These sequence of events successfully led to the removal of Moolah's name.

"What remains most important is that this historic match is part of WWE's unwavering commitment to the Women's Division".

"WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal " What's the story?
