Tomb Raider 1-3 Remasters Coming to PC

With a new Tomb Raider hitting theaters soon, there's no better time to look back on the first attempt to translate Lara Croft's adventures from games to movies. The remastered versions games will feature a new 3D engine for all 3 games, will have controller support, and will support OpenVR. Pictures has released a whole bunch of new clips for their big opener this week, the video game adaptation of Tomb Raider.

While technically the Tomb Raider games they are updating are free, it requires the purchase of the original DOS version. "Since TR classic is on Steam, we will use the game data from there".

The port is relying on Steam because we won't provide game data.

This past December, Square Enix teased that a new AAA Tomb Raider game will be revealed at a major event this year, and rumor has it the new game will reportedly be called Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The remasters will also include the DLC packs Unfinished Business and The Golden Mask, along with bug fixes and further improvements by Realtech VR. And because the old Tomb Raider games are often sold at a discount on Valve's platform for less than $2, players can get the remastered editions for quite cheap.
