Richardson is expected to sign a five-year, $40 million deal with the Redskins later this week, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Garafolo said $20 million of that will be guaranteed.

The Washington Redskins will reportedly add a battery mate for the recently acquired Alex Smith.

"I just want to say thank you to the entire Seahawks organization for believing in me, drafting me and helping me develop into a better man and ball player", Richardson posted Tuesday on his Instagram account. He put up by far his biggest numbers last season, when he caught 44 passes for 703 yards and six touchdowns.

Richardson spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, who selected him in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Colorado.

After an injury plagued first two seasons, Richardson - who turns 26 on April 13 - has mostly stayed healthy the past two seasons, missing one game in 2016 and none in 2017. Doctson had 35 receptions for 502 yards and six touchdowns.
