National Football League free agency: Bills have 'some interest' in QB Sam Bradford

Jan 7 2018 New Orleans LA USA Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is tackled by New Orleans Saints free safety Vonn Bell and free safety Marcus Williams during the second quarter in the NFC Wild Card playoff football game

After stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings, he is headed back to the NFC West and will sign with the Arizona Cardinals, according to multiple sources.

But Cousins is going to, in all likelihood, sign with the Vikings on a three-year deal worth a reported $84 million. His 2017 season was short-lived, however, after a knee injury cost him all but two games in the regular season.

UPDATED: 2:24 p.m. - Bradford isn't the only former Sooner on the move.

If the Cardinals were to find themselves out of the running for Cousins, however, three other potential options they could be looking into are Sam Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown, reports 98.7 FM Arizona's Sports Station's Mike Jurecki.

It will supposedly have protection for the team in case of injury. He had a resurgence in 2016, though, when he threw for 20 touchdowns and five interceptions with Minnesota.

Keenum, meantime, is about to become the Denver Broncos' new quarterback. The Cardinals had a vital need at quarterback after Carson Palmer's retirement.

National Football League teams aren't able to officially sign free agents until Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. Arizona time. It might not be quite as dire as the one Bradford surprisingly thrived working behind in Minnesota two seasons ago, but it's not that far off. After reports surfaced that the veteran QB received a call from the Vikings Monday afternoon, it appears the Brees-Saints deal is finally done.

The 30-year-old Bradford has dealt with several knee injuries throughout his career.
