As Governor ESL Narasimha started his speech, Congress MLAs started shouting slogans against the government.

The Congress members tore the copies of the Governor's address and threw them on the floor of the House but nothing what they were saying could be heard in the din.

Goud injured his right eye and was immediately admitted to Sarojini Devi eye hospital for treatment. "This is totally uncalled for by the opposition members".

As soon as the House assembled for the day's proceedings on Tuesday, Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao moved separate resolutions seeking the suspension and expulsion of Congress members, which was approved by voice vote. When they stood up for the national anthem after the Governor's address, "another headphone came and directly hit my eye...", the Chairman said.

The Telangana unit of the Congress on Monday took strong exception to allegations by the TRS that its party members were drunk during the ruckus created in the state Assembly. In an unfortunate incident, Council chairman Swamy Goud got hurt. The others are Geetha Reddy, Padmavathi Reddy, DK Aruna, T Ram Mohan Reddy, Madhav Reddy, Vamsi Chand, Chinna Reddy, Keevan Reddy, and Bhatti Vikramarka.

TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who addressed party MLAs on Sunday, had hinted at stern action against opposition members if they tried to disrupt the governor's address. Goud said that during the Governor's address itself broken head phones were thrown which fell near the Governor without hitting (anyone).

He also detailed the steps taken by the government to improve agriculture sector, fisheries, horticulture, sheep distribution programme and the successful undertaking of the land records updation. The Government has recommended and the house has approved the disqualification of two MLAs and suspension (for this session) of eleven MLAs.
