Ek Do Teen, The Jacqueline Fernandez Version. This Girl Is On Fire

Helmed by Ahmad Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the action-filled film is all set to release on March 30.

The recreated track has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Sandeep Shirodkar whereas the original was penned by Javed Akhtar, Sung by Alka Yagnik and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Meanwhile, talking about stepping into Madhuri's shoes for the dance number, Jacqueline had earlier said in an interview, "For any girl, this would be a dream song to do". After all the wait, the famous Madhuri Dixit song of the 80's Ek Do Teen is here to top the charts once again.

From her incomparable beauty and goddess-like features to the killer expressions and perfectly toned body, Jacqueline Fernandez is any day a sight to behold.

While the comparison with Dixit was obvious, some have rather scathingly opined on Fernandez and her inability to do justice to the iconic song.

Ek Do Teen has all the ingredients of what is referred to as a "dance number" - Jacqueline in flashy outfits, a catchy remixed tune that runs along the song, superwoman dance moves and the humour element. But dammit, she is no Madhuri Dixit! While the original was choreographed by Saroj Khan, this time it's Ganesh Acharya who has taken the task upon himself. The actress has been quoted as saying, "We are honestly here as big fans of their (Madhuri and Saroj Khan's) work and more than anything, this is honestly a tribute to the awesome, iconic number that they gave to us".

Apparently, a rather excited Jacqueline Fernandez wanted Madhuri herself to do a promotional video along with her, before the film releases.
